Why give awards to students? Awards are an investment in our students’ futures and wellbeing. They encourage young scholars to perform better in academic and extracurricular areas. Awards for students instill a sense of pride, which can help them meet or exceed their goals.

This year, this extra-ordinary year of Metland School, we celebrate the recognitions of our incredibly unique and powerful students, which most of them possess strong confidence yet cheerful characters. An evening at the green beautiful garden party was created to honor the students’ achievements. Not forgetting that behind every achievement there is countless support from family, teachers and friends. Parents and guardians gathered to commemorate their children for having accomplishments at the end of their journey in high school. The students presented their appreciations with songs and flower bouquets to the families to those who have provided encouragement, guidance and love to them.

This event is also held to recognize the young talents who have made an immense contribution to our school and the society. Giving students rewards for their efforts suggests that their hard work is appreciated. This is a powerful mindset to have in the classroom and can encourage students to feel better about the work they complete, as well as themselves. We called them the “Outstanding Students”.

And we honor all of the outstanding students with Academic Titles. Valedictorian Students, were the outstanding students who have the highest achievement in the academic year among they fellow students and who gave speeches at the ceremony. Salutatorian Students, were the outstanding students with academic title conferred upon the second highest achievements among their fellow students. Tertiary Students, were the outstanding students with the third highest achievements among their fellow students.

Mengapa memberikan penghargaan kepada siswa? Penghargaan adalah investasi bagi masa depan dan kesejahteraan siswa kami, yang pula mendorong para anak muda untuk berprestasi lebih baik di bidang akademik dan ekstrakurikuler. Penghargaan bagi siswa menanamkan rasa bangga, yang dapat membantu mereka mencapai atau melampaui tujuan mereka.

Tahun ini, tahun luar biasa Sekolah Metland, kami merayakan pengakuan siswa kami yang luar biasa unik dan kuat, yang sebagian besar memiliki kepercayaan diri yang kuat namun karakter ceria. Suatu malam di pesta taman yang indah diciptakan untuk menghormati prestasi para siswa. Tak lupa di balik setiap prestasi terdapat dukungan yang tak terhitung jumlahnya dari keluarga, guru, dan sahabat. Orang tua dan wali berkumpul untuk memperingati anak-anak mereka atas prestasi di akhir perjalanan mereka di sekolah menengah. Para siswa menyampaikan apresiasinya melalui nyanyian dan bunga kepada keluarga-keluarga yang telah memberikan semangat, bimbingan dan kasih sayang kepada mereka selama ini.

Acara ini juga diadakan untuk memberikan penghargaan kepada talenta-talenta muda yang telah memberikan kontribusi besar bagi sekolah kami dan masyarakat. Memberi siswa penghargaan atas usaha mereka menunjukkan bahwa kerja keras mereka dihargai. Ini adalah pola pikir yang kuat untuk dimiliki di kelas dan dapat mendorong siswa untuk merasa lebih baik terhadap pekerjaan yang mereka selesaikan, serta diri mereka sendiri.

Kami menjuluki mereka sebagai “Siswa Berprestasi”. Dan kami menghormati semua siswa berprestasi dengan Gelar Akademik. Siswa Valedictorian, merupakan siswa berprestasi yang mempunyai prestasi tertinggi pada tahun ajaran di antara sesama siswa dan memberikan pidato pada acara penghargaan ini. Siswa Salutatorian, merupakan siswa berprestasi dengan gelar akademik yang diberikan atas prestasi tertinggi kedua di antara sesama siswa. Siswa Tertiary, adalah merupakan siswa berprestasi yang mempunyai prestasi tertinggi ketiga di antara sesama siswa.
